About Carrie

Carrie Maloney is a freelance writer and video producer with a passion for animals—human and not. She began her career at a PBS station in St. Paul, Minnesota, producing for the national Emmy Award-winning science show, Newton’s Apple. She also won a regional Emmy as a producer on a documentary. After that, she worked in corporate America as a creative director—but the business environment never quite felt like home. Today she’s back to following her heart, working on projects in the non-profit, education, and health & wellness worlds. In her free time she volunteers for Can Do Canines, an organization that trains assistance dogs for people with disabilities. And she’s also the Marketing Manager for The Grey Muzzle Organization, working to improve the lives of homeless and at-risk senior dogs.
